Fire Department
[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”3/4″][vc_column_text]Hi. My name is Mark Lorenzen and I currently serve as the Fire Chief for the Ventura County Fire Protection District. I have been with County since 1991 and have the responsibility for guidance and oversight of an organization comprised of approximately 600 employees. I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Economics from the University of California at Santa Barbara and a Master’s degree in Public Administration from California State University at Dominguez Hills. Prior to becoming a firefighter I was a licensed Certified Public Accountant and have continued to maintain my license. I have been a Santa Barbara resident since 1969.
I am pleased to be serving on your Board and look forward to helping shape our future leaders. I am excited to add a unique perspective to the Board with the diversity of my background and work experience. My goals are to encourage professional growth through the Council’s educational outreach program and help managers throughout the County understand the importance of professional relationships in the workplace and facilitate that through networking opportunities.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator][vc_column_text]
