Sherriff’s Office

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”3/4″][vc_column_text]Commander Chris Dunn joined the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office in June of 1994, after serving several years as a deputy sheriff for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. Chris has lived much of his life in Camarillo and graduated from Adolfo Camarillo High School in 1985. Chris has a Bachelor’s of Science in Business/Management from the University of Phoenix.

Chris’ diverse career in law enforcement began in 1985 as a sheriff’s cadet out of the Camarillo Police Station. Commander Dunn graduated from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Academy in October of 1988. Since his return to Ventura County, Chris has worked in a variety of demanding assignments including detention services, patrol services, special enforcement, and as an investigator in the Major Crimes Bureau.

Chris promoted to Commander in February of 2015 and is currently assigned to the Professional Standards Bureau overseeing the Academy, Range, and Internal Affairs units. Additionally, Commander Dunn manages the Bomb Squad and Small Unmanned Aviation Systems Unit.

He has been a sustaining member of the Management Council since 2009 and served as an alternate to previous Council Vice President, Cheryl Wade. Chris looks forward to working with the Council and its members.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator][vc_column_text]
